Day One - Jes Baker

Jes Baker is a positive, progressive, and magnificently irreverent force to be reckoned with in the realm of self-love advocacy and mental health.

Jes is internationally recognized for her writing on her blog, The Militant Baker, and for the “Attractive and Fat” campaign, a response to Abercrombie and Fitch’s controversial branding efforts. Her extensive body advocacy work has continued to garner attention from hundreds of national and international media networks.

When not blogging, Jes spends her time speaking at universities, taking pictures in her underwear, writing for several online publications, working with clothing companies to promote more plus size fashion, and trying to convince her cats that they like to wear sweaters and bow ties.

Day Two - Marie Southard Ospina

Marie is a freelance journalist and editor whose work can be found on Bustle, Everyday Feminism, Romper, BuzzFeed, Refinery29, and her personal blog MiggMag. When she’s not mourning the death on Breaking Bad, she’s likely writing (or tweeting) about fat acceptance, being a gordita colombiana, her love of cream cheese, or pansexuality. Her biggest dream is for intergalactic space travel to become a reality.

Day Three - Virgie Tovar

Virgie is an author, activist and one of the nation's leading experts and lecturers on fat discrimination and body image. She is the founder of Babecamp, a 4-week online course designed to help those who are ready to break up with diet culture, and started the hashtag campaign #LoseHateNotWeight. Tovar edited the ground-breaking anthology Hot & Heavy: Fierce Fat Girls on Life, Love and Fashion (Seal Press, November 2012). Virgie has been featured by the New York Times, MTV, Al Jazeera, NPR, Yahoo Health, and Tech Insider.

Day Four - Michelle Elman

Michelle is a 5 board accredited life coach who specialises in body confidence. She is the creator of the Scarred Not Scared campaign where she shares her own personal story of having had 15 surgeries by the age of 20 with her audience of over 20k followers on Instagram and Youtube. Her campaign has gone viral twice worldwide being featured in over 60 publications including Fox News, The Today Show, Daily Mail, The Independent, Cosmopolitan and MTV. She also frequently appears on TV and Radio as an activist for Body Positivity.

Day Five - Ushshi Rahman

Ushshi is a creative dissident who hails from Dhaka, Bangladesh and has called New York City her home for over a decade where she attended The New School for her undergraduate degree in Writing with a focus on Psychology. Ushshi’s poetry is published in Cleaver Magazine, 12th Street Journal, Caravel Journal, DuKool Magazine amongst others and as an unapologetic fat person in the world, she has spoken on panels and podcasts regarding body politics and been featured recently in Refinery29 and Bustle.

Day Six - Melissa A Fabello

Melissa is a body acceptance and eating disorder activist, scholar in the field of sexology, and Jurassic Park enthusiast based in Philadelphia. Currently, Melissa works as a Managing Editor of Everyday Feminism, the largest independent feminist media website in the world, and is a doctoral candidate in Widener University’s Human Sexuality Studies program, where her research focuses on how women with anorexia nervosa experience skin hunger.

Day seven - Alysse Dalessandro

Alysse is plus size fashion blogger, writer, social influencer, designer, professional speaker, and travel enthusiast. After graduating from Loyola University Chicago with a double-major in Journalism and Gender Studies, this Cleveland-based entrepreneur is best known as the owner/designer for body positive fashion brand Ready to Stare  and its corresponding personal style blog, #StareStyle. As a journalist, her work reaches millions and can be found on Bustle, The Curvy Fashionista, Dose, The Lingerie Addict, and On The Plus Side. As a blogger and social influencer, Alysse has been featured on Good Morning America, Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, Dazed Digital, and more. In addition to her work in fashion, Alysse travels around the country as a professional speaker and she is a trusted voice in the body positive community.

Day eight - adiba nelson

Adiba is author of the children's book "Meet ClaraBelle Blue", and forthcoming “50”. Adiba is also a contributing writer with online magazine Everyday Feminism, My Brown Baby, and The Huffington Post, as well as a columnist with local paper, Tucson Weekly. She is an active voice in the Body Positive community, performs burlesque as The BIG Bang McGillicuddy, and recently gave her first TEDX talk. Adiba is also a staunch advocate for individuals with special needs, organizing and participating in various fundraisers that serve this population.

day nine - melissa gibson

Melissa is a graduate student at the University of Louisville. She is getting her Masters in Women's and Gender studies and her research is in Fat Liberation and Self Representation.  She loves to travel and has lived in Southeast Asia and Africa over the course of her life.  She is also the babe behind the massive Instagram account @Yourstruelymelly and also the founder and admin of the joyous Instagram account @DontHateTheShake
